On May 1st, representatives from Pamthunzi Safety Net and Ekwendeni Women’s Portfolio (EWDOS), including the Director of Pamthunzi Safety Net, Abdul Rahim Ntenje, Deputy Director Sandra Banda, and the EWDOS management team, visited Elangeni Primary School in Mzimba District. The purpose of the visit was to engage with the school’s management and assess ongoing needs and opportunities for support.
During the discussions, it was observed that the school has constructed a changing room for girls; however, the facility is currently incomplete, lacking a proper floor, cement finishing, and window installations. While this issue was noted, the visit reaffirmed the importance of our existing initiative to support the well-being and dignity of girls in schools.
Our commitment to empowering communities and improving access to safe, inclusive educational environments remains a central focus of our partnership.
